TV-Series
Description
Fuyuka Kudou is introduced as a character whose past is shrouded in mystery, initially appearing as a quiet girl secretly watching the Raimon soccer team practice. Her background is marked by tragedy. She is the biological daughter of Ono Masataka, but after her parents died in a car accident when she was young, she was adopted by Kudou Michiya, who later became the coach of Inazuma Japan. The trauma of witnessing her parents' death was so severe that she was hospitalized and suffered from deep depression. To help her cope, her foster father agreed to a hypnotherapy procedure that erased her memories of the event and her early childhood. Before the accident, during her first year of elementary school in Inazuma Town, she was a lively and cheerful child who became best friends with Endou Mamoru, giving him the nickname Mamoru-kun while he called her Fuyuppe.

In terms of personality, Fuyuka initially presents herself as soft-spoken, somewhat naive, and deeply caring. When she becomes a manager for Inazuma Japan, she takes on a motherly role, focusing on the team's well-being by reading nutrition books to improve the meals she prepares and labeling each member's belongings to keep them organized. Her naivety is shown when she is tricked by Urabe Rika into believing Endou was in great danger, leading to a humorous but awkward outing that others mistook for a date. Despite her gentle demeanor, she shows moments of quiet determination, such as when she helped restore the team's confidence during a difficult match. The game profiles note that she is somewhat bashful but has grown through her training and experiences. Years later, in Inazuma Eleven GO, her personality has matured significantly; she is more confident, resolute, and does not speak with such a soft tone, especially when carrying out her duties as a strict but caring nurse.

Fuyuka's primary motivation throughout the original series is to be a supportive and effective manager for Inazuma Japan, contributing to the team's success. Her role in the story is initially ambiguous due to her memory loss and her connection to Coach Kudou, which raises questions among the team. She becomes a central figure in the third season's subplot, as her forgotten past holds the key to understanding the legacy of Endou Daisuke. It is later revealed that her biological father was an associate who helped Endou's grandfather, and she retains the ability to read his nearly indecipherable notes. Her presence helps bridge the team to this history. In Inazuma Eleven GO, she serves a different but crucial supporting role as a healthcare professional in the hospital, caring for injured players like Amemiya Taiyou and Shindou Takuto.

Her key relationships define much of her character arc. The most significant is with Endou Mamoru, her childhood friend who never forgot her, even when she could not remember him. This connection is instrumental in helping her regain her memories. Her relationship with her foster father, Coach Kudou Michiya, is also pivotal; he is a strict coach but a caring parent who adopted her and made the difficult decision to erase her memories to save her from psychological pain. She also forms bonds with the other team managers, Aki and Haruna, who help her learn her duties.

Fuyuka undergoes significant character development. For a long period, she exists without her early memories, believing she has no connection to Endou or Inazuma Town. However, after a near-miss with a truck triggers her repressed trauma, her memories come flooding back, leading to her collapse and hospitalization. Faced with the prospect of undergoing hypnotherapy again to erase the painful memories, she makes the resolute choice to refuse, declaring that she does not want to forget Endou and her friends. This decision marks her full recovery, as she successfully integrates her painful past with her present, emerging stronger and with a complete sense of self. Her development is further reflected in her career path, becoming a nurse in the sequel series, a natural extension of her caring nature and her experiences in a hospital setting.

In terms of notable abilities, while primarily a manager, Fuyuka can be recruited as a player in the video games, where she typically assumes the position of defender. Her skills include a variety of hissatsu techniques, such as Deep Mist, Wonder Trap, Snow Angel, and Wolf Legend. As a manager, her most valuable abilities are her organizational skills, her culinary dedication, and her emotional intelligence, which she uses to support the team from the sidelines. In the Inazuma Eleven GO series, her professional nursing skills are highlighted, as she is responsible for monitoring patients' conditions and making critical judgment calls, such as when she ultimately decides to help Shindou leave the hospital for an important match.
