TV-Series
Description
Candy Blanqueta is the name used for the main protagonist of the series in the Catalan Spanish dub. Her original name is Candice White, but she is most commonly known simply as Candy. She is an orphan discovered as an infant on the grounds of Pony's Home, an orphanage, on a snowy May day. Found with only a doll that had the name Candy written on it, she was given the full name Candice White.

In terms of appearance, Candy is recognized for her fair skin, bright green eyes with a hint of blue, and curly blond hair, which she almost always wears in two distinctive pigtails. Her face is also marked by a scattering of freckles. Her personality is a dynamic mix of traits. She is notably tomboyish, headstrong, and playful, often acting on impulse and engaging in activities like riding horses and climbing trees. Beneath this boisterous exterior, however, she is deeply compassionate, selfless, and determined to find the bright side of any situation, a lesson learned from the important people in her life.

Her primary motivation stems from her fiercely protective nature and her desire for connection. From the moment she was a baby, she showed a strong instinct to protect those weaker than herself, particularly her friend Annie. This drive to stand up against bullies and defend others defines many of her actions. As she grows, her motivation expands to include understanding love, finding her place in the world, and pursuing a meaningful profession.

Within the story, Candy transitions from a mischievous troublemaker to a more mature and wise young woman. Her role is that of a resilient protagonist whose spirit influences everyone around her. She has a unique ability to charm even the most difficult people, softening their hearts through her genuine nature. This gift, combined with her experiences, eventually guides her toward a career as a nurse.

Key relationships are central to her development. Her bond with her childhood friend Annie is a cornerstone of her character, fueling her protective instincts. Throughout her life, she encounters several love interests, including the kind and inventive Stea, and her romantic journey is a significant part of her story. Her development is substantial. While training to become more elegant tempers some of her more reckless traits, she never loses her core cleverness and resourcefulness. She evolves into a forgiving and wise young woman, yet retains the clever, resourceful, and playful spirit she had as a child.

One of Candy’s most notable abilities is her exceptional skill with a lasso. She uses this talent frequently, whether to catch an adversary or to rescue an animal in danger. This distinctive skill, along with her gluttonous appetite for food, are memorable traits that define her character.
