Description
Originally named Meki and known as the Eye Oni, Carrot was a high-ranking Oni assigned to invade the Rimdar Kingdom and eliminate the Peach Boy. Her mission reflected the Oni conviction that humans were destructive invaders harming nature and other species. She wielded formidable combat prowess, including the Ogre Blast (Kihou) capable of shattering fortified walls, though its use temporarily reduced her stature during recharge.
During the invasion, she clashed with the demon hunter Mikoto Kibitsu. After recovering her strength, she deployed her signature Sendo technique: removing and crushing her right eye to create fragments enabling body duplication, clairvoyance, and regeneration. These fragments allowed full reformation from fatal blows, with one typically hidden remotely as insurance. Mikoto overwhelmed her defenses, destroyed her eye fragments, and neutralized her Kihou. Sparing her life, he severed her horn and removed her right eye, stripping most Oni powers and reducing her to a near-human state.
Abandoned by her kind, she reluctantly allied with Princess Sally Aldarake and the rabbit demihuman Frau, who renamed her "Carrot" to symbolize her new identity. Initially distrustful of humans and covertly informing other Oni, she gradually formed genuine bonds with Sally and Frau. Witnessing Sally’s unwavering kindness toward demihumans and receiving her protection against human prejudice reshaped Carrot’s worldview. She questioned the cycle of hatred between species and embraced Sally’s goal of peaceful coexistence.
Physically, Carrot resembles a young human woman with light-purple knee-length hair, chin-length bangs covering her damaged right eye, yellow eyes, and pointed ears. She wears a black-and-white sleeveless qipao-style dress, black tights, and white boots. As an Oni, she bore a single black forehead horn, and her right eye exhibited monstrous traits during power usage.
Her abilities shifted drastically after depowerment. As an Oni, she possessed superhuman strength, speed, durability (at least City level+, possibly Multi-Continent level), enhanced senses, extrasensory perception, and Immortality (Types 1 and 6). The Sendo technique enabled duplication, body control, regeneration (High-Low), danmaku, energy projection, fusionism, organic manipulation, and telepathy. Post-depowerment, she retained superhuman physical traits, enhanced senses, extrasensory perception, and basic energy projection but lost regeneration, duplication, and advanced techniques. Her combat style adapted to leverage tactical intelligence, such as feigning an intact Kihou to corner the Stretch Oni before a physical defeat.
Her development centered on reconciling her past with new alliances. She transitioned from viewing humans as existential threats to valuing comrades like Sally and Frau, explicitly defining herself as "Carrot" beyond Oni or human labels. This evolution involved confronting lingering prejudices and actively bridging divisions between races.
