Description
Natsuo Ichinomi is an Ashikabi, a human capable of forming contracts with Sekirei, powerful winged beings. He is the Ashikabi of all three members of the third generation Disciplinary Squad. By day, he works as a clerk in the pharmaceutical department of MBI, the company that oversees the Sekirei Plan. He appears as a young gentleman in his late twenties of average height, with medium-length brown hair and gray eyes.
Personality-wise, Natsuo is notably easygoing and carefree about the Sekirei Plan and life in general. His own Sekirei have remarked on this laid-back nature. He tends to judge the fights between Sekirei as little more than a means to distract himself and have fun. Despite this, he possesses sharp intuition; Karasuba, a high-ranking Sekirei, has noted that his hunches are never wrong. A deeper dimension to his character comes from his past: according to his Sekirei Haihane, Natsuo is homosexual, and the reason is that his lover, a doctor, volunteered to serve in a war zone and was killed. This loss seems to have shaped his present detachment.
His motivations are not driven by ambition within the Sekirei Plan. He approaches events with an air of expectation for excitement, such as during the start of an escape plan, but he does not actively seek power or conflict.
