Jackie Tonomura is a supporting character in the Earth Alliance warship Archangel's crew. A Natural, he was born on July 4, Cosmic Era 47, making him twenty-four years old during the events of the war. He is of average height and build, with short brown hair and gray eyes. He initially held the rank of Lance Corporal and was originally assigned to the Archangel as a deputy helmsman. Following the ZAFT force's attack on the colony Heliopolis, which resulted in significant casualties among the ship's personnel, Tonomura was reassigned to fill a critical vacancy. He took up a post in the Combat Information Center, or CIC, where his primary duty became enemy search and detection. He is one of the few original crew members to survive the ship's harrowing journey from the neutral colony to the Earth Alliance and through the subsequent battles of the First Alliance-PLANT War.
