Description
Miriallia Haww is a character who appears in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and its sequel, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny, as well as the film Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom. She began as a civilian student living in the space colony Heliopolis, where she attended a technical college alongside Kira Yamato, Tolle Koenig, Sai Argyle, and Kuzzey Buskirk. Her life changed when ZAFT forces attacked Heliopolis, forcing her and her friends to take refuge aboard the Earth Alliance battleship Archangel. Despite having no military training, she adapted to the circumstances and volunteered to serve as a communications operator on the ship's bridge, where she was responsible for monitoring and coordinating the mobile suits in combat. Miriallia is characterized by a gentle and caring personality, with a mature and well-rounded disposition. She maintains a positive attitude even in difficult circumstances and is supportive of her friends and fellow crew members. Her primary motivation stems from a desire to protect those close to her and to contribute meaningfully to the crew's survival. One of the most significant aspects of her story is her romantic relationship with Tolle Koenig, her boyfriend from Heliopolis. Their bond provides emotional support for both as they navigate the dangers of war. When Tolle is killed in action during a battle near Orb, Miriallia is devastated by the loss. Her grief manifests in a moment of intense anger when she confronts the captured ZAFT pilot Dearka Elsman, nearly attacking him before being stopped by Sai. This event marks a turning point, as she must find a way to process her pain and continue serving. Over time, she demonstrates resilience, eventually finding a measure of healing and returning to her duties. In Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny, which takes place two years later, Miriallia initially works as a freelance photographer documenting the ongoing conflict. She later reunites with Kira and the Archangel crew and resumes her former role as a communications operator. Her continued service reflects her growth and commitment to her friends, showing that she has moved forward while still carrying the memory of her loss. Her skills as a communications operator develop through experience, and she becomes a competent and reliable member of the bridge crew. Miriallia also maintains close friendships with Kira Yamato and the other survivors from Heliopolis, and her relationships with the crew demonstrate the importance of camaraderie and mutual support in the face of tragedy.
