Natale Bajirule is a supporting character in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. She comes from a long line of military service, and it was always expected that she would continue that tradition as a career soldier in the Earth Alliance. Natale's character undergoes a significant development during the final battle at Jachin Due. While serving Azrael, she is forced to confront the extreme and indiscriminate nature of his orders. When Azrael attempts to fire a weapon of mass destruction, Natale makes a pivotal choice. She turns on him, attempting to stop the attack and ordering a ceasefire. In the ensuing struggle, she is critically wounded. In her final moments, she regains her sense of duty and honor, ordering her crew to abandon ship and then directly asking Murrue Ramius to destroy the Dominion, ensuring it cannot be used to cause further harm. This final, self-sacrificing act redeems her and highlights the internal conflict between her ingrained military discipline and her own moral awakening.
