Early in the story, while on an official inspection tour, she arrives in Rolling Town and witnesses a dynamic Basquash match featuring Dan JD. Profoundly moved by the energy and spirit of the sport, she decides to flee her sheltered royal life to pursue this newfound passion. To protect her identity and move freely, she adopts the male persona of Alan Naismith, a name she chooses as a tribute to the historical inventor of basketball.
