Description
Masami Oshige, often referred to as Ms. Oshige, is the assigned manager of the idol Full Moon in the anime and manga series Looking for the Full Moon. Before becoming a manager, she was a former idol herself, performing under the stage name Yuina Hanakazari, though her singing career never achieved significant commercial success. Her background in the music industry gives her a practical understanding of the entertainment world, which she uses to guide and support the young singer.

Personality-wise, Oshige is kind, understanding, and good-natured, though she can be somewhat clumsy and flustered at times. She has a fondness for drinking, which is occasionally portrayed as a minor character trait. Despite her occasional awkwardness, she is deeply caring and always looks out for Mitsuki Kouyama, the girl who transforms into Full Moon. Her motivation stems from genuine concern for Mitsuki’s well‑being and a desire to see her succeed, both as a performer and as a person.

In the story, Oshige’s primary role is that of Mitsuki’s manager, responsible for handling her schedule, promoting her career, and providing emotional support. She becomes aware of Mitsuki’s dual identity as the young girl and the older idol, as well as the supernatural elements involving shinigami, and works alongside Dr. Keiichi Wakaouji to monitor Mitsuki’s health and help her pursue her dream. Oshige’s loyalty and protective nature make her a reliable ally.

Her key relationships include her long‑standing, one‑sided love for Keiichi Wakaouji, whom she has admired since he was a singer in the band Route L under the nickname Prince. She still affectionately calls him by that nickname. To cope with her loneliness, she dates Mitsuru Kijyou, her boss at the agency. Over the course of the series, her feelings for Keiichi are reciprocated; in the anime, their relationship develops subtly in the background, while in the manga they officially come together in volume five.

Oshige does not possess any supernatural abilities or notable physical skills. Her strengths lie in her managerial competence, her deep empathy for Mitsuki, and her persistence in navigating the challenges of the music industry. Her character shows no major dramatic development arc, but she remains a steady, supportive presence throughout the story, illustrating how personal connections and care can sustain those facing extraordinary circumstances.
