Description
Norah Arendt is a skilled shepherdess who works for the church in the town of Ruvinheigen. She is known for her dedication to her flock and her ability to protect them from wolves, a task made possible by the loyal and well‑trained sheepdog named Enek who accompanies her at all times. Norah is a gentle and polite young woman, always ready to lend a hand to passing strangers, though her constant labor leaves her with little time for social interaction. Her deepest ambition is to leave her life as a shepherdess behind and become a tailor, a goal that requires her to save enough money to pay for a guild membership.

In the story, Norah crosses paths with the traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence and the wolf deity Holo. She agrees to help them with a risky plan to smuggle gold, using her skills to navigate a dangerous stretch of road where wolves pose a threat. Her competence and calm demeanor earn the respect of Holo, who is not easily impressed. Before meeting Lawrence and Holo, Norah is portrayed as lonely and entirely consumed by her work. Through her involvement in their scheme, she begins to develop a more independent and courageous side, learning to stand up for herself when troubles arise. Her most notable ability is her exceptional talent as a shepherd: she can lead and protect her sheep with remarkable precision, and Enek is perfectly attuned to her commands. Norah is a quiet but capable figure whose dreams and actions show her determination to shape a better future for herself.
