Description
Futaba Kutsuki is a main character who initially presents as a tough and cynical girl with a strong aversion to boys. Her background includes being the older sister of Wakaba Kutsuki, a younger sibling who is notably friendlier and more naive than Futaba, often carrying a cactus named Togemura and addressing Futaba with the deep respect of oneesama. Physically, Futaba is characterized by her shoulder-length violet hair, red eyes, and a slim build, frequently seen in her school uniform worn in a nonstandard manner or in practical, tomboyish attire such as tank tops.

In terms of personality, Futaba embodies classic tsundere traits, combining a short-tempered and rebellious exterior with an underlying vulnerability. She feels disgust toward the perverted antics of the so-called Baka Trio and considers most male students at Kanenone Academy to be perverts. This attitude leads her to act as a self-appointed protector for the female students during the school's co-educational trial run. She is notably unenthusiastic about the co-ed experiment and does not hesitate to resort to physical violence against the boys as punishment for their indiscretions, at one point knocking out and hanging the Baka Trio upside down as retribution for peeping.

Futaba's primary motivation is initially to shield herself and the other girls from the disruptive and often lecherous behavior of the boys. However, her rigid stance begins to shift following key interactions with the protagonist, Yuusuke Takasaki. After the Baka Trio pulls a cruel and humiliating prank on her, Futaba decides to leave Kanenone on her own that very night. She becomes lost and injured in the surrounding woods, but is rescued by Yuusuke, who carries her back to safety. This act of kindness, combined with an earlier incident where Yuusuke handed her a towel to preserve her modesty when her shirt became see-through, sparks romantic feelings within her.

This development marks a significant departure from her previous antagonism toward boys. Her role in the story thus evolves from being a hostile antagonist to the male students to becoming a central romantic interest for Yuusuke. Following the initial series, in the sequel Green Green Thirteen: Erolutions, Futaba maintains contact with Yuusuke through letters. Despite his lingering attachment to another character named Midori Chitose, Futabas persistent affection eventually leads to the two becoming an official couple by the conclusion of the OVA. Her romantic arc culminates when she and Yusuke consummate their relationship just before the first co-ed term begins.

Regarding notable abilities, Futaba appears to possess some form of spiritual powers that are unknown even to herself. This latent ability manifests as an unusual sensitivity to supernatural phenomena and allows her to retain faint memories of Midori after that character returns to the future. This connection to spiritual elements suggests a deeper, more complex nature beneath her tough exterior, linking her to the more mystical underpinnings of the narrative.
