Description
Policeman (Jerry), also known as Mr. Policeman, is a supporting character who appears from the beginning of the anime. He is a police officer assigned to the Cape Mary police station and is one of the few characters in the story with a different ethnic background from the main cast. In appearance, he is a large, imposing man with dark skin, a thick beard, and sunglasses, and he is regularly seen wearing a white t-shirt while on duty. Despite his formidable physique, he is gentle, kind-hearted, and deeply supportive of those around him.
His connection to the main character begins in the first episode, when she is brought to the police station after being mistaken for a runaway child. Jerry personally gives her a ride to the Kaleido Stage, and after learning of her dream to perform there, he becomes an enthusiastic admirer of the stage as well. He proudly calls himself her number one fan and is a constant presence in the audience at her shows. His loyalty to her extends to her circle as well; during a trip to Japan to visit her after she has left, he affectionately refers to her fellow performer Ken as her number two fan, to Ken's displeasure.
