Description
Dada Zarude, a Dark/Grass-type Mythical Pokémon, bears a torn pink cloth—once part of an adopted human infant’s blanket—as a symbol of his caregiving identity. Residing in the Forest of Okoya, he discovered the human child Koko by a riverbank, drawn by the infant’s cries. Defying his Zarude troop’s territorial aggression, he chose exile to raise Koko, rejecting tribal laws in favor of compassion. The pink cloth became an emblem of this defiance, marking his transformation from warrior to protector.

For over a decade, Dada Zarude concealed Koko’s humanity, sheltering him in isolation. The boy believed himself a Zarude, grappling with his inability to wield Pokémon moves. Their fragile peace shattered when Ash Ketchum’s arrival led Koko to question his identity. Dada guided him to an abandoned laboratory, revealing evidence of his human parents’ fate—a painful truth that strained their bond yet underscored Dada’s struggle between protection and honesty.

When Dr. Zed threatened the jungle’s Heart Tree, Dada Zarude rallied former foes—jungle Pokémon and his estranged troop—to defend their home. His leadership bridged divides, transforming him from outcast to unifier. In the clash, he sacrificed himself, enduring fatal injuries to shield Koko from mechanized assault. Near death, he confessed pride in fatherhood, his vulnerability contrasting a lifetime of resilience. Koko revived him using Jungle Healing, a move mirroring their bond’s strength, intertwining survival with mutual devotion.

Post-battle, Dada Zarude aided the jungle’s restoration, reconciling with his troop and fostering peace. As Koko ventured into the human world, Dada masked reluctance with gruff acceptance, honoring the boy’s dual heritage. His final moments depict vigilance over the revitalized forest: tending a shared garden, observing a Shiny Celebi’s flight—a testament to renewed balance—and guarding the wild he vowed to protect.

In combat, Dada Zarude wielded Power Whip and Hammer Arm, yet Jungle Healing defined his nurturing spirit. His Adamant nature and Leaf Guard ability mirrored an unyielding resolve to shield those he loved. Though Zarude are known for ferocity, his journey redefined strength through empathy, challenging instincts to forge a legacy where family transcends blood and redemption blooms from sacrifice.
