TV-Series
Description
Naruki Gelni is a first-year student in the Military Arts Department at the Academy City of Zuellni. She transferred there from the Transportation City of Yortem alongside her childhood friends Mayshen Torinden and Mifi Rotten. She is a tall girl with a dark complexion, violet shoulder-length hair, and gray eyes. Her standard attire consists of the Military Arts uniform top paired with a short blue skirt, dark gray socks that roll up to just below her knees, and red high-cut canvas shoes.

Her personality is defined by a strong sense of justice and a calm, composed demeanor. She is practical and levelheaded, often taking on a responsible role within her group of friends. She has a good sense of judgment and does not rush into decisions. Her dream is to become a police officer, and she initially trains for the City Police corps. This goal reflects her desire to protect others and maintain order.

Naruki’s motivations are deeply tied to a tragic past: she lost both of her parents to the contaminated atmosphere that plagues the world of Chrome Shelled Regios. After their deaths, she was taken in and cared for by her older brother Saya. This loss drives her to seek ways to heal the contamination and prevent similar tragedies from happening to others, lending a strong sense of purpose to her actions.

In the story, Naruki becomes a member of the 17th Platoon, though she initially declines the invitation because of her commitment to the City Police. She eventually accepts under the direction of Form. Within the platoon, she serves as a scout and explorer, using her keen observational skills to navigate dangerous terrain and locate threats. She is also a capable swordswoman, and her combat training makes her a reliable fighter. She is particularly talented with a rope, a skill she uses in both police work and combat.

Naruki’s key relationships include her childhood friends Mayshen and Mifi, with whom she shares a close bond. She becomes friends with Layfon Wolfstein Alseif after he saves Mayshen during the inauguration incident. She is one of the few students willing to spar with Layfon in Military Arts class, even teasing him when he accidentally touches her during their bout. This playful yet direct interaction shows her comfort with him. She also holds a deep respect for her brother Saya and is motivated by his care for her.

Over the course of the series, Naruki develops from a student focused on police training into a more active combatant and scout, taking on greater responsibilities within the 17th Platoon. Her sense of duty and her desire to protect those close to her drive her growth, though she remains steady and reliable throughout. Her tragic family history adds emotional depth to her character, but she does not let it consume her; instead, she channels it into determination.

Notable abilities include her skill with the rope, her swordsmanship, and her role as a scout. She uses kei technique like other Military Artists, though specific specialized techniques are not prominently highlighted. Her sharp instincts and calm under pressure make her a valuable asset in exploration and battle.
