Description
Miki Tsujiwaki is the captain of the women's soccer team at Jyoyō Akanegaoka High School. Her interest in soccer was sparked not by following professional players but by a comic book, which explains why she initially does not know who Seisuke Kanou is. This lack of prior knowledge underscores that her passion for the sport is personal and self-motivated rather than inherited or influenced by fame. She is determined, energetic, and wears her enthusiasm openly. When she first encounters Kyosuke Kanou, who has sworn off soccer due to the pressure of living in his older brother's shadow, she recognizes his potential and persuades him to become the manager of the women's team. Through her relentless encouragement and the genuine joy she finds in the game, she helps Kyosuke rediscover his own love for soccer, leading him to join the men's team. Even after he leaves the manager role, she continues to support him from the sidelines, attending his matches and cheering him on. She is not afraid to scold him when he becomes discouraged or loses focus, and the two share a close but often eccentric bond characterized by mutual understanding and candid honesty. Nothing is revealed about Miki's life outside of school and soccer, so her entire presence in the story centers on her role as a catalyst for Kyosuke's return to the sport and as a steadfast companion. On the field, she plays as a forward and leads her own team with the same spirited determination she shows in encouraging others. Her notable abilities lie less in technical virtuosity and more in her power to inspire, her resilience, and her ability to see the potential in others when they cannot see it themselves.
