He is an old gentleman with grey hair and pale skin, typically dressed in a formal suit complemented by a bow tie and a rose pinned to his lapel. Despite his advanced age and status, Battera is characterized by a calm, affable, and respectful demeanor, even extending patience and belief to young and unproven individuals like Gon Freecss and Killua Zoldyck when others dismissed them.
The primary driving force behind Battera's actions is a deeply personal tragedy. He was engaged to a much younger woman who, just before their wedding, was involved in a car accident that left her in a prolonged comatose state for over ten years.
