Description
Riheet, known as Lightning Flash of the Black Moon, hails from an alternate dimension where dark elves suffer systematic subjugation under human dominion. This history shapes his initial worldview, causing deep bewilderment when he encounters a world where humans and dark elves coexist peacefully. The stark contrast to his homeland's rigid social order evokes complex emotions—disbelief and fascination—as he witnesses unprecedented cooperation between species he once deemed irreconcilable enemies.
He serves in the mercenary faction "Black Edge" alongside his sister Ripine. Hired by Orvelian Councilor Moriham to investigate demonic activity near the royal city, Riheet and his group secretly plot to betray Moriham and seize control of Orvelia, seeking retribution for dark elf discrimination. This plan collapses when Malduk, a dark wizard serving Demon King Angmund, slaughters the entire Black Edge squad on the Gallua Plains. As the sole survivor, Riheet abandons the Orvelian army. Following advice from Maria, he embarks on a quest to find a magic sword purported to be crafted by Illya, King Kyle's half-sister.
During his journey, Riheet uncovers his lineage as a distant descendant of Illya. He learns she never forged a fake sword; instead, she created a techno-magical device designed to shield its wielder from the Dark Lord's corrupting influence. Corrupt nobles had vilified Illya in historical records due to prejudice against dark elves. This revelation reshapes his understanding of his heritage and the systemic discrimination faced by his people.
With nothing left to lose, Riheet allies with Scarlet to secure the holy sword Eia and destroy Malduk. He achieves vengeance against Malduk at the World Tree. Later, during the final battle against Angmund, Riheet provides Kasel with Illya's device. This enables Kasel to weaken Angmund and free King Kyle's soul. Following Angmund's defeat, Scarlet offers Riheet a noble title. He declines, instead demanding the truth about Illya's legacy and contributions be revealed to all dark elves. This act aims to foster genuine peace between dark elves and Orvelia, shifting his path from vengeance to reconciliation.
His sister Ripine, deeply devoted to him, serves as his second-in-command in Black Edge. She barely survives her own encounter with Malduk and reunites with Riheet only after Angmund's forces are defeated.
