Lupine, sometimes called Ripine, is a dark elf and the younger sister of Rihito. She serves as the second-in-command of the mercenary faction Black Edge and is utterly devoted to her brother, displaying an unwavering loyalty to his goals that extends to eliminating her own comrades if necessary to advance their objectives.

As a dark elf, she faces daily aversion and discrimination. A difficult childhood and this persistent prejudice have shaped her into a reserved and hesitant individual in most interactions. This demeanor shifts completely in combat, where she becomes a fierce and capable warrior, matching her brother's prowess in battle. She is a sword fighter with distinctive elf traits, including pointy ears, white hair, and red eyes, and is often depicted wearing gloves.

She participates in her brother's missions with Black Edge, including the investigation of demonic activity near the royal city. The group secretly plots to betray Councilor Moriham of Orvelia and seize control of the kingdom as revenge for the discrimination dark elves have endured. The entire Black Edge squad, except for Rihito, is killed by the dark wizard Malduk. Lupine barely survives a direct confrontation with Malduk and only reunites with her brother after the forces of the Dark Lord Angmund are defeated.

Lupine originates from an alternate dimension known as Orvel, where dark elves suffer under oppressive human rule. After encountering another version of Orvel where different species coexist harmoniously with far less discrimination, she aspires for her homeland to achieve a similar state. She remains cognizant of the issues in her world and feels compelled to return to actively contribute to its transformation and help her people.
