Description
Nara Shikamaru is a shinobi from Konohagakure and a member of the Nara clan, known for its inherited shadow‑manipulation techniques. He is the only child of Shikaku Nara and Yoshino Nara, and as a young boy he formed a deep friendship with Choji Akimichi after defending him from other children who excluded him. Their bond later became part of the traditional Ino‑Shika‑Cho trio alongside Ino Yamanaka, with whom he was placed on Team 10 under the leadership of Asuma Sarutobi. Shikamaru’s defining trait is his exceptional intelligence—his teacher Asuma estimated his IQ to be over 200—but he is habitually lazy, often complaining that things are “troublesome” and preferring to nap, watch clouds, or play strategy games like shogi and go.
