Description
Hawk's Eye is a fictional antagonist from the anime Sailor Moon SuperS and a member of the Amazon Trio, a group of villains serving the Dead Moon Circus under the command of Zirconia. His true origin is that of a normal hawk that was transformed into a human-like form and granted a mission to help his masters find the legendary Pegasus.

In terms of appearance, Hawk's Eye is notable for his bright, wild pink hair that stands on end and his red eyes. Like his comrades Tiger's Eye and Fish Eye, his ears are pointed. His face is marked by two distinct red stripes beneath his left eye and a metal decoration on his forehead, which has two small diamond shapes pointing up and down. His usual attire consists of a light purple, bra-like toga top, a matching light purple skirt, purple tights, dark purple shoes, brown gloves, and a low brown choker.

Personality-wise, Hawk's Eye is distinguished from the other members of the Amazon Trio by his specific romantic and predatory preferences. While his partner Tiger's Eye typically targets younger women, Hawk's Eye prefers to go after the dream mirrors of older, more mature women. This difference in taste is a frequent source of playful disagreement and rivalry between the two, though they ultimately consider each other friends. Beneath his villainous exterior, his motivations are more complex than simple obedience. He is shown to be aware of the trio's precarious position as expendable servants and secretly yearns for a way for all three of them to become真正的 humans. This desire becomes his primary driving force, making his search for Pegasus not just an order, but a personal quest for a better existence.

Hawk's Eye plays a significant role in the story as one of the primary agents sent to extract dream mirrors. His first major offensive action is a notable one, as he targets Ikuko Tsukino, the mother of the protagonist Usagi. During this encounter, he demonstrates his power by easily blocking Sailor Moon's Moon Spiral Heart Attack, forcing Pegasus to intervene and grant the Sailor Guardians new power. He is also responsible for sending several Lemures, his summoned monsters, to fight the Sailor Guardians, including Do Kanko and Elephanko. His mission eventually leads him to extract Usagi's dream mirror, an act that sets the stage for the trio's final confrontation with their own masters.

His key relationships are central to his development. His dynamic with Tiger's Eye is one of brotherly competition, while he shares a more protective and caring bond with Fish Eye, the third member of the trio. In a pivotal act of selflessness, Hawk's Eye sacrifices his own life to save Fish Eye from a fatal attack, jumping in front of her and taking a mortal blow meant for her. In his dying moments, he gives his companions the mystic orb that maintains their human forms and reveals his true wish to become human for their collective sake, proving his deep loyalty to the trio.

Despite being a villain, Hawk's Eye experiences a significant redemption arc. After his death, the orb is destroyed, and he and his companions revert to their original animal forms: a brown hawk, a tiger, and a fish. Witnessing their sacrifice and change of heart, Pegasus intervenes and uses his power to revive them, granting their deepest wish. He gives each of them their own dream mirror and transforms them into真正的 human beings, allowing them to live peacefully in his dream world of Elysion.

In combat, Hawk's Eye has several notable abilities. His primary method of attack is to blow streams of fire at his enemies, which he generates using a small torch. He also has the ability to transport himself by jumping through a hoop of brown feathers. His physical capabilities are considerable, as he is shown to be durable and powerful enough to deflect standard Sailor Guardian attacks with ease. This is a stark contrast to his counterpart in the original manga, where he is directly defeated by Sailor Jupiter in battle. In the anime, his demise comes not at the hands of the heroes, but through his own heroic sacrifice against a greater threat sent by his own allies.
