Description
JunJun is a member of the Amazoness Quartet, a group of young warriors who serve as antagonists during the Dead Moon Circus arc. Within the circus, her role is that of the acrobat, and she is specifically referred to as the Magician of Acrobatic Feats, with tightrope walking being her primary discipline. Her physical appearance reflects this athletic background; she has a fit and agile build, tan skin, and long light green hair that is styled into three distinct ponytails, one pointing upward and two flowing down at the sides. Her circus costume consists of a green two-piece outfit with billowing mint green pants, and her primary identifying color is green.

In terms of personality, JunJun is the definitive tomboy of the quartet. Her demeanor is notably more impulsive, athletic, and aggressive than her sisters, and she often expresses impatience or a desire to rush into action. This is reinforced by her manner of speech, which is very informal and uses masculine pronouns and patterns, a trait noted by the series creator. She has a tough, hard-edged way of speaking and exudes a streetwise quality. Despite her rough exterior, she demonstrates a certain pragmatic and even-handed sense of morality. Unlike the other members, she has a habit of allowing her targets to fulfill their dreams before she moves to steal their Dream Mirrors, a trait that stands out among the generally more self-serving quartet.

JunJun is one of four sisters who serve Queen Nehellenia and her servant Zirconia. Her specific counterpart among the Sailor Guardians is Sailor Jupiter, which aligns with her green color scheme and physically combative nature. Her relationships with her sisters, CereCere, PallaPalla, and VesVes, are characterized by a shared bond as they work together to hunt for the Golden Mirror that contains Pegasus. Among them, she is identified as the third sister, corresponding to the size and number of her namesake asteroid. She shares their collective goal of remaining children forever, a promise made to them by Nehellenia, for which they were each given an Amazon Stone.

Her role in the story is as a persistent antagonist to the Sailor Guardians and Sailor Chibi Moon. Her approach to battle often involves sending male lemures, which are summoned creatures, to do her bidding. She is unique within the quartet for exclusively summoning male lemures, many of which have fish or aquatic themes. In combat, she is known to use projectiles, such as hitting bombs toward her enemies with a baseball bat, and she has the ability to create powerful illusions. A notable example of her method is when she helped a young boy overcome his fear of the vaulting horse by trapping him in an illusion with a ferocious bear, forcing him to run and jump for his life.

As the arc progresses, JunJun and the other members of the Amazoness Quartet begin to realize they are being manipulated. They are eventually trapped in mirrors by Zirconia when their usefulness comes into question. In a key moment of development, they choose to reject Nehellenia's power. JunJun, along with her sisters, shatters her own Amazon Stone, willingly giving up the promise of eternal childhood to break free from the queen's control and regain their autonomy. Following the defeat of Queen Nehellenia, they are last seen departing on their own terms, leaving open the possibility of a future encounter with the Sailor Guardians.

Regarding her background and abilities, the Amazon Stones are central to her power. JunJun uses her green Amazon Stone to perform specific attack commands. These include Colliding Ball, which she uses to extract a victim's Dream Mirror, Rolling Ball, where she enlarges the stone to roll over her targets, and Through Ball, which allows her to phase through solid objects. In some continuities, her true identity is revealed to be Sailor Juno, named after the asteroid Juno and the Roman goddess of the same name. In this capacity, she is one of four Sailor Guardians intended to awaken in the future to protect Sailor Chibi Moon. According to creator notes, she was originally imagined with even more rebellious traits and was supposed to ride a motorcycle, emphasizing her intended "yankee" or rough-and-tumble persona.
