Description
Bes Bes is a member of the Amazoness Quartet, a group of four young girls who serve as primary antagonists in the Sailor Moon SuperS storyline. Within the hierarchy of the Dead Moon Circus, she holds the role of an animal trainer, a profession that is reflected in her choice of weapons and the nature of the magical creatures she summons. She typically wields a whip and employs throwing knives in combat, and the Remless she creates to do her bidding are almost always themed after animals.

Her personality is marked by a strong-willed, impulsive, and aggressive nature. She is often described as the most hot-headed and imperious member of the quartet. This temperament positions her as a de facto leader among her sisters, as she is frequently the one to speak on behalf of the group and take the initiative in carrying out their missions. She is also notably disrespectful and defiant toward their superior, Zirconia, often giving him nicknames and openly questioning his orders, even going so far as to physically attack him in an attempt to claim leadership for herself. Despite this outward bravado and desire for power, her motivations are rooted in a childlike fear of growing up. Along with the other members of the Amazoness Quartet, she was granted eternal youth by Queen Nehelenia, and her primary drive is to serve the queen in order to maintain this everlasting childhood.

In the narrative, Bes Bes is one of the most active members of the quartet, making the most attempts to locate Pegasus, the guardian of dreams, for Queen Nehelenia. Her mission is to find a golden dream mirror, which would signify the presence of Pegasus, allowing the Dead Moon Circus to capture him and shatter his protected dreams. Her role evolves significantly as the story reaches its climax. After being betrayed and having their powers drained by Zirconia, she and the other members of the Amazoness Quartet are convinced by the Sailor Guardians to turn against their masters. In a pivotal act of defiance, Bes Bes smashes her Amazon Stone, the source of her eternal youth and Nehelenia's power, choosing to grow up rather than remain a servant of evil. Following this redemption, she actively aids the Sailor Guardians in the final battle against Queen Nehelenia, using her trickster skills to swap a powerful crystal with a pineapple, thereby helping to secure the queen's defeat. Her development thus charts a course from a loyal, if unruly, minion to a redeemed ally who chooses a future of growth and change over the stagnation of eternal childhood.

Her key relationships are primarily with the other members of the Amazoness Quartet: Cere Cere, Jun Jun, and Para Para. While she often clashes with them and tries to assert her authority, they function as a sisterly unit. Her relationship with Zirconia is one of mutual frustration and antagonism, and her loyalty to Queen Nehelenia is ultimately revealed to be conditional, born of a gift rather than genuine devotion.

Notable abilities stem from her magical Amazon Stone, which she uses to perform various attacks. Among these are the Colliding Ball, which extracts a victim's dream mirror; the Ball Ball Attack, a powerful offensive blast; the Sealing Ball, which can block an opponent's attack; and the Sticky Ball, which creates a viscous substance to trap foes. She can also use the stone for reconnaissance purposes, such as eavesdropping or seeing distant events. As an animal tamer, her combat style is aggressive and direct, complementing her impulsive personality.
