Description
Marta, known in the original Japanese version as Minako Aino, is the civilian identity of Sailor Venus, one of the central characters in the Sailor Moon SuperS anime series. She is a lively and determined teenage girl who serves as the leader of the four inner Sailor Guardians, second only to Sailor Moon herself. Marta was the first Sailor Guardian to awaken her powers, having been chosen by the white cat Artemis when she was thirteen years old, and she initially fought alone under the alias Sailor V before joining the full team. This early experience gives her a strong sense of duty and mission, though she balances it with a cheerful and sometimes mischievous personality.

In terms of personality, Marta is outgoing, energetic, and highly sociable. She shares many traits with her friend Usagi, such as a tendency to be easily distracted and a love of fun and romance, but she is also more athletic and confident. Marta is a skilled volleyball player and once considered pursuing it professionally, but her greatest dream is to become a famous idol. She frequently attends auditions and chases pop culture trends, yet beneath her lighthearted exterior she possesses a serious dedication to her role as a guardian. She can be dramatic and quick to fall for romantic interests, but she also shows resilience and cleverness in battle.

Her motivations are deeply tied to protecting the planet and her allies, especially Sailor Moon, whom she views as the rightful princess. Marta is known for taking her role as the Guardian of Love literally, often offering romantic advice despite having little personal experience herself. In SuperS, her character continues to develop as she gains the ability to transform into Super Sailor Venus using the Venus Crystal, which grants her enhanced powers including the Venus Love and Beauty Shock attack, a heart-shaped energy blast. Her key relationships include her close bond with Artemis, who acts as her mentor and companion, and her friendship with the other Sailor Guardians, particularly Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars. She lives with her parents in Tokyo, though their presence is rarely shown.

Fighting as Sailor Venus, Marta wields powers associated with love, light, and beauty. Her signature abilities include the Crescent Beam, a blade of light fired from her tiara, and the Love-Me Chain, a luminous whip she uses to restrain or strike enemies. In SuperS, after receiving her upgrade, she also commands the Venus Love and Beauty Shock. As the leader of the inner guardians, she coordinates strategies and inspires her teammates with her confidence. Despite her occasional clumsiness in civilian life, Marta remains a courageous and reliable warrior whose long experience makes her an indispensable member of the team throughout the events of Sailor Moon SuperS.
