PallaPalla is a recurring character in the anime Sailor Moon SuperS, where she appears as one of the four members of the Amazoness Quartet, a group of young girls serving the Dead Moon Circus. She is a childlike girl with short blue hair and blue eyes who works in the circus as an acrobatic ball balancer, and in the anime she is the youngest member of the quartet. She speaks about herself in the third person and is described as the most childish, tearful, and sensitive of the four, with the series creator characterizing her as something of a crybaby and airhead.

In the anime, the Amazoness Quartet are ordinary girls who accidentally broke the seal on Queen Nehelenia while playing in the dream world. Rather than accept the responsibilities of growing up, they agreed to follow Nehelenia and received magical dream crystal orbs, the Amazon Stones, which granted them eternal childhood and served as the source of their powers. PallaPalla serves Nehelenia and her high priestess Zirconia alongside her companions CereCere, VesVes, and JunJun, and she takes part in the circus's mission of searching for humans whose dreams can lead them to Pegasus and the Golden Mirror.

Personality-wise, PallaPalla is playful, impulsive, and emotionally unguarded, often reacting to situations the way a small child would, with tears, outbursts, or sudden changes in mood. Her innocent manner can be misleading, as she is capable of surprisingly callous behavior; in one episode she tears the head off her own doll as a pretend cure for its toothache, a moment that even her sisters find unsettling. She also shows occasional flashes of cleverness, and her unpredictable nature makes her dangerous in battle. In the story of SuperS, PallaPalla and the Amazoness Quartet serve as the second wave of enemies, taking over from the Amazon Trio. They use a billiards-like technique to target dreamers and drain their dream energy in search of the Golden Mirror. Unlike her sisters, who usually focus on one person at a time, PallaPalla prefers to attack large groups at once. She shares a close and playful bond with CereCere, VesVes, and JunJun, acting as the baby of the group, and she is obedient to Zirconia and Nehelenia, though her loyalty stems more from childish trust than deep conviction. Her encounters with Chibi Usa are especially significant, as Chibi Usa's courage and devotion to Pegasus eventually move PallaPalla and her sisters to question their allegiance.

Over the course of the season, PallaPalla develops from a thoughtless antagonist into a more sympathetic figure. In the final portion of SuperS, she and the other quartet members reject Nehelenia after witnessing Chibi Usa's willingness to sacrifice herself for Pegasus. They smash their Amazon Stones, briefly help recover the Golden Crystal from Nehelenia, and are implied to have contributed their energy to save the wounded Elios. At the season's end, they watch Chibi Usa and Elios part from a distance and leave with the hope that they will meet again if fate allows. In the SuperS anime itself, the quartet's later identity as the Sailor Guardians Sailor Pallas, Sailor Ceres, Sailor Juno, and Sailor Vesta is not revealed, as that revelation belongs to the original manga and later animated adaptations.

In terms of abilities, PallaPalla is a magician who fights with balls. She can balance on and ride a giant ball, using it to roll over and crush opponents, and she casts a variety of magical spells with her Amazon Stone. She can summon Lemures, the circus's monster servants, many of which are round or ball-shaped, and she occasionally employs dolls in her attacks. She also draws dream energy from her victims, contributing to the Dead Moon Circus's search for Pegasus.
