TV-Series
Description
Leda is a robot created alongside Casshern and Dio as part of an experiment to revolutionize robotic life through reproduction. She is a female model designed with an extravagant appearance, featuring long purple hair and pink eyes. In the story, she serves as a supporting antagonist who works with Dio to restore the robot army and establish a new robotic empire under their rule. Her personality is marked by a strong desire for beauty, luxury, and admiration. She believes that for one to be truly beautiful, there must be others who envy and covet that beauty, and she seeks to be the one who grants that value. This obsession with aesthetics and status drives her actions and her ultimate goal of achieving immortality so she can enjoy the finest things in life forever. Leda is intelligent and manipulative, using her charm and emotional influence to guide Dio’s actions. Though she claims to care for him and often intervenes to protect him when he overextends himself, she does not hesitate to manipulate him to further her own ambitions, particularly her desire to rule the world and become truly beautiful. Compared to Casshern and Dio, she is not a frontline combatant, but she demonstrates leadership by commanding a following of other robots and summoning an army. Her development throughout the series sees her transition from a loyal companion to a calculating figure who prioritizes her own vision of perfection and eternal life. Her key relationships are with Dio, whom she both supports and manipulates, and with Casshern, who serves as an obstacle to her plans. Leda’s role in the narrative is to represent the pursuit of vanity and power in a decaying world, contrasting with Casshern’s search for meaning and redemption.
