Description
Fubuki Toudou is a supporting character who serves as one of the primary rivals to the main protagonist. She is a fourteen-year-old model and idol from Nagoya, born on November 7, which makes her zodiac sign Scorpio. Fubuki comes from a wealthy family and has experienced fame since early childhood, having worked as a professional model for many years before deciding to transition into a career as a singer. She possesses a mature and sophisticated appearance, characterized by her long blue hair, purple eyes, and an elegant bearing that makes her look older than her actual age. She has two pets, a cat named Mya-san and a chick named Toridoshi, and she is known to speak to her cat using the Nagoya dialect.

In terms of personality, Fubuki initially appears spoiled, self-centered, and deeply confident, a demeanor shaped by her privileged upbringing and long history in the entertainment industry. However, this outward arrogance is rooted in a specific traumatic experience from her childhood. As a young girl, Fubuki was kind-hearted and caring, but when she stopped to help an elderly woman, she arrived late to a photoshoot set. Her role was given to another girl, and her agent was reprimanded because of her tardiness, despite her good intentions. This event caused Fubuki to harden her heart and adopt a more ruthless and self-serving attitude, believing that kindness was a weakness that could cost her career. She holds immense pride in her professional skills and often dismisses others who do not meet her high standards.

Fubuki becomes affiliated with the Higashiyama Entertainment Company when she launches her idol career. She immediately regards the cheerful and food-loving Kirari as an unworthy rival, underestimating her by claiming that Kirari's only good point is her cute appearance and that she lacks any real talent. Fubuki believes that being an idol requires a certain level of sophistication and professionalism, which she feels Kirari does not possess. Her primary motivation is to prove her superiority and to defeat Kirari in a fair contest to establish herself as the true number one idol. This competitive drive leads her to challenge Kirari in various events, including the Nojo Hot Idol Award competition.

Despite her cold exterior, Fubuki’s relationship with Kirari evolves over time. She is shocked when Kirari ties with her in the Nojo Hot Idol Award, unable to understand how someone she perceived as unskilled could achieve the same recognition. After Kirari encourages her by saying that everyone can be a number one idol in their own way, Fubuki begins to see that Kirari possesses a genuine talent for making people happy with her angelic personality. While she remains a fierce rival and continues to try to defeat Kirari in later episodes, she no longer does so in a way that is mean-spirited or hurtful. There is a moment of connection between them when Fubuki realizes that Kirari was the same girl who once helped her open a door to retrieve their cats, and from that point, she becomes something of a friend to Kirari while still maintaining their rivalry. She has also shown a willingness to help Kirari, such as when she participated in a contest to assist her.

Fubuki undergoes noticeable development from a purely antagonistic figure into a more nuanced character who respects her opponent. She learns to acknowledge that talent comes in many forms and that there is value in Kirari's earnest and joyful approach to being an idol. Even after realizing that Kirari may be the better idol in some respects, she refuses to give up her ambition and continues to push herself forward.

In terms of abilities, Fubuki is highly skilled and resourceful. She is an experienced model comfortable in front of the camera and, as an idol, she is a capable singer and performer. One of her most notable talents is her proficiency in fashion design and sewing. Fubuki makes all of her own clothes because she finds that ready-to-wear items do not fit her well, and she typically creates mature, adult-style outfits for herself. This skill is showcased during a costume design competition against Kirari, where her technical expertise and refined taste are contrasted with Kirari's more whimsical and less technically proficient approach.
