Description
Kenji Shiraishi is a central character in the soccer anime Aoki Densetsu Shoot! and a first-year student at Kakegawa High School. He wears jersey number 1 and plays as the team's goalkeeper. Alongside his close friends Toshihiko Tanaka and Kazuhiro Hiramatsu, he was known as one-third of the "Kakenishi golden trio," a formidable force during their time at Kakenishi Junior High School.
Despite his history of success, Shiraishi had given up playing soccer by the time he entered high school. This decision stemmed from a specific incident in junior high when his short temper led to his involvement in a gang fight, which resulted in his team being disqualified from an important tournament. Feeling responsible for this failure, he stepped away from the sport.
