Description
Mils Brinberg is a supporting character in the anime Code-E and its sequel Mission-E. She is a German spy of seventeen years of age with blonde hair and blue eyes. Mils is the twin sister of Adol Brinberg, and the two siblings operate together on espionage assignments. In Code-E, she and Adol pose as exchange students at the school attended by the main protagonist, Chinami Ebihara, as part of a mission to observe and assess Chinami’s ability to emit electromagnetic waves. During this time, Mils confesses romantic feelings to Kotaro Kannagi, a boy involved in researching Chinami’s power. Her motivations are primarily tied to her duties as a spy, though her personal emotions occasionally interfere with her professional objectives.
In Mission-E, the sequel series, Mils is depicted in a coma-like state resulting from the events that occurred during a summer school incident at the end of Code-E. Her condition serves as a driving force for her brother Adol, who becomes embittered toward Chinami and other Type-E users as a consequence. Mils’s role in the story is thus largely defined by her relationship with her twin brother and her function as a catalyst for conflict, rather than through any independent arc. She displays no supernatural abilities herself; her skills are those of a trained intelligence operative.
