Summoned from another world through ritual, Gale Gibson arrived in the Central World at approximately ten years old. The summoning process dangerously overloaded his young body with magicules. Though this granted him the ability to manipulate earth by altering its structure for combat, the rampant energy threatened imminent destruction, leaving him with a drastically shortened lifespan unlikely to extend much beyond his tenth year.
Residing in the Kingdom of Ingracia, Gale attended Freedom Academy. There, Shizue Izawa became his teacher and caretaker, providing stability and guidance to him and other summoned children facing similar fates. Following Shizue's departure and eventual death, Gale and the children came under Rimuru Tempest's protection. To save Gale's life, Rimuru bonded an artificial Greater Earth Spirit to him, stabilizing the destructive magicules and eliminating the fatal overload.
Relocating to the Jura Tempest Federation, Gale continued his education and residence. As the eldest among the summoned Otherworlder children, he displayed notable composure, maturity, and rationality beyond his years. This demeanor established him as a counselor and de facto older sibling figure within the group, offering guidance during decisions and protective support to his peers, fostering collective responsibility. His initial interactions with Rimuru were marked by wariness and attentiveness, reflecting his inherently prudent and cautious nature towards powerful entities.
His earth manipulation abilities, now safely harnessed after the spirit bonding, remained core to his capabilities, enabling him to shape and control earth for practical and combative applications. Within Tempest, Gale integrated as a respected student contributing to the community. His journey reflects a transition from vulnerability as a magically doomed summon to stability as a valued member of the Federation, utilizing his powers constructively under Rimuru's guardianship alongside his fellow Otherworlders.
