Description
Otome Katou is a secondary character in School Days. She is a first-year student in class 1-4 of Sakakino Gakuen and a classmate of Kotonoha Katsura. She has been a friend of Makoto Itou since at least middle school, and the two share a long history as childhood acquaintances. Otome is a member of the girls' basketball team and acts as the de facto leader of the girls in her class. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and she stands about 164 centimeters tall.
In terms of personality, Otome is direct, headstrong, and assertive. She is comfortable taking charge of her social group and is regarded as its organizing figure. Despite her confident outward manner, she carries a long-held crush on Makoto that has existed since junior high. This attachment is one-sided, as Makoto does not appear to think of her romantically. When Makoto begins dating Kotonoha, Otome becomes strongly irritated and jealous, particularly because she had previously assumed that his interest in her was one-sided.
