TV-Series
Description
Majo Heart, also referred to as Mayoheart, is a witch who serves as the head doctor and one of the twelve members of the Witch Senate in the world of Ojamajo Doremi Sharp. She specializes in the health and well‑being of witch babies and is responsible for conducting the mandatory health examinations that all young witches must pass. Her role in the story is most prominent during the second season, when Doremi Harukaze and her fellow witch apprentices are tasked with raising the magical infant Hana. Majo Heart oversees Hana’s growth and development, requiring the girls to bring Hana to her for periodic checkups.

Majo Heart has a strict and high‑tempered personality. Initially, she is openly opposed to the idea of human children taking care of a future queen and does not hide her disapproval. She frequently yells at Doremi and her friends and is unyielding in her expectations. Her motivations are rooted in her sense of duty and her belief in proper witch procedures; she wants to ensure that Hana receives the best care and that the rules of the witch world are followed. Despite her harsh exterior, she gradually softens toward the ojamajos as she witnesses their genuine love and dedication to Hana, and she eventually comes to appreciate them.

Majo Heart has a notable history that shapes her character. She once lived in the human world with her adoptive daughter, Majo Ran, but both returned to the witch world after a war. This background hints at a more complex past and a deep personal connection to her adoptive child, though the details are only touched upon in the series. Her key relationships include her assistants, Majo Pi and Majo Pon, who help her during examinations, and the ojamajos themselves, with whom she develops a grudging respect over time. She also appears in later seasons, continuing to serve as a figure of authority in the witch world.

In terms of abilities, Majo Heart is a skilled physician with a deep knowledge of magical infant care. She performs health assessments using specialized magical tools and is able to diagnose and monitor the condition of witch babies. Her position in the senate indicates that she also wields considerable political influence within the witch community. Though she does not often display combat magic, her authority and medical expertise are her primary contributions to the story. Her character is defined by a rigid adherence to rules that slowly gives way to a more understanding and caring nature as she learns to trust the girls she once dismissed.
