Description
Alexander T. Oyajide, also known by names such as Alexander Tagosaku Oyajide, Alexander von Roseo, Daddy-Oh, and Feredagio the Great, is a wizard from the Wizard World who plays a significant and evolving role in the story. His background is that of a former famous thief who was caught attempting to steal valuable cursed cards known as Bad Cards. As punishment for his crimes, he was magically confined within a small laptop computer called the Pureleine and forced to assist apprentice witches in hunting down these dark objects.

Within this computer, his physical form is that of a small, yellow, frog-like creature resembling a witch frog. When he is later freed and regains his human form, he appears as a tall, tanned adult with long, violet, curled hair, red eyes, and a monocle. He wears a dark purple wizard uniform with a dual-colored cape and a heart-shaped necklace, carrying a cane that functions similarly to a witch's magic crystal. His personality is highly self-centered and narcissistic, as he holds an exceedingly lofty opinion of his own abilities and charm, despite frequently proving to be clumsy, unlucky, and prone to unfortunate mishaps.

Paradoxically, while he often behaves inappropriately, especially by fawning over young and pretty women, he also possesses a natural and genuine affinity for children. This is reflected in his personal motivation to pursue studies and qualifications to become a kindergarten teacher in the Witch World. Another defining motivation is his obsessive fandom of the young idol and witch apprentice Onpu Segawa. He proudly declares himself a devoted member of her fan club and exhibits persistent, often comical, admiration for her.

His role in the story begins as a reluctant ally, trapped inside the computer and forced to use his unique ability to detect dark magical auras to help the main characters locate Bad Cards. Upon completing this duty and regaining his freedom, his role shifts to that of an antagonist. He immediately attempts to kidnap the powerful baby witch Hana to exploit her magic for the Wizard World. This plan fails, and as further punishment, he is sentenced to part-time labor at a kindergarten in the Witch World. In this later role, he becomes more of an anti-hero and comic relief figure, eventually forming bonds with the protagonists. At one point, he even joins the wizard boy band FLAT4, rebranding the group as FLOAT 5.

His key relationships are complex. He begins as an adversary to the main witch apprentices, including Doremi and her friends, but over time, he becomes a valuable and trusted, if still exasperating, ally. He develops a particularly strong and caring relationship with Hana, for whom he acts as a protective and devoted caretaker. His affection for children makes him an effective, if unconventional, childcare worker, and Hana grows very fond of him in return. His relationship with Onpu remains one of distant, star-struck adoration from a fan.

Alexander undergoes significant development throughout the series. He starts as a selfish criminal and a scheming villain, but through his forced interactions and later genuine connections with the young witches, he experiences a redemption arc. A pivotal moment of development occurs when he chooses to use magic to save Hana, even though it means failing his kindergarten teacher examination and facing the consequences. This act of selflessness marks a clear turning point from his previous narcissistic ways. In later stories, including light novels, his development culminates in him becoming the respected director of a wizard preschool, cementing his full transition from a criminal to a responsible and caring member of the magical community.

Despite his bumbling and perverted tendencies, notable abilities include his magical competence as a full wizard, which makes him considerably more powerful than the apprentice witches. He is capable of casting spells and using magic independently. His primary unique ability is his power to sense dark, cursed objects that harbor the Bad Cards, a skill that is essential to the plot. He also demonstrates moments of hidden competence, proving himself to be capable and formidable when truly motivated or when protecting someone he cares for.
