TV-Series
Description
Nicole, known in the original Japanese as Onpu Segawa, is a major character in Ojamajo Doremi Sharp, the second season of the series. She is introduced as a famous child idol who works as a singer, actress, and model, and she initially becomes a witch apprentice under Majo Ruka, a rival of the shopkeeper Majo Rika. Unlike the other apprentices, Nicole first appears as a private and somewhat cold-hearted individual, willing to use forbidden magic to alter people’s memories and emotions in order to maintain her polished image and protect her career. Her motivations are deeply tied to her family: her mother was a former idol who suffered a stroke, and Nicole carries the weight of supporting her mother’s recovery and fulfilling her own dreams of stardom. Over the course of the series, Nicole’s personality evolves significantly. Through her interactions with Doremi Harukaze and the other witch apprentices, she learns to let down the emotional walls she had built, becoming warm, loyal, and genuinely caring. She develops close bonds with each of the girls, especially Doremi, whom she credits with helping her become a better person. In terms of role, Nicole moves from a rival outsider to a core member of the group, using her talents and magical abilities to assist in both everyday problems and larger magical challenges. Her notable magical abilities include a personal spell and a magical stage spell, and her theme color is purple, with a tear-shaped crystal. Her fairy companion is Roro, who shares her methodical and independent approach to work. Throughout Ojamajo Doremi Sharp, Nicole continues to grow as both a witch and a person, learning the value of honesty, friendship, and selflessness, and she becomes an indispensable friend to the rest of the Ojamajos.
