Description
Aristar Krory the Third is a Romanian Exorcist affiliated with the Black Order, introduced as a key ally during the search for General Cross Marian. He is a tall man, standing 190 centimeters, with a slender build, dark hair distinguished by a single prominent white streak, and sharp canine teeth that contribute to his vampiric appearance. His age is twenty-eight, and his birthday is December 1st.
Before becoming an Exorcist, Krory lived an extremely isolated life in his grandfather’s castle, having been raised there in seclusion. Following his grandfather’s final wish, he remained in the castle, deeply lonely but without any motivation to leave. The local villagers, frightened by his appearance and the mysterious deaths that occurred near the castle, came to believe he was a vampire. In truth, Krory was instinctively attacking Akuma, driven by the parasitic Innocence that resided within his own teeth. He was unaware of his nature as an Accommodator and did not understand why he was compelled to act this way.
His life changed dramatically when he fell in love with a woman named Eliade, who lived with him in the castle. Unbeknownst to Krory, Eliade was a Level 2 Akuma sent by the Millennium Earl. She manipulated his affection to keep him isolated, but also genuinely developed feelings for him. When Allen Walker and Lavi arrived in the village seeking the vampire, they uncovered the truth about Eliade. Krory was forced to confront the woman he loved, discovering her true mechanical form. Despite his deep emotional anguish, his Innocence drove him to destroy her, a act that left him devastated and suicidal. He was stopped by Allen and Lavi and chose to become an Exorcist, using his mission as a reason to continue living after killing Eliade.
Personality wise, Krory is a man of stark contrasts. In his daily life, he is gentle, kind, and profoundly naive about the outside world due to his sheltered upbringing. He is prone to being overly emotional, easily flustered, and can become depressed when facing failure or rejection. His naivety often gets him into trouble, as he is easily scammed, manipulated into poor decisions, or confused by common social customs. For example, he once famously ate an entire lump of wasabi because he did not understand its purpose. However, when his Innocence activates and he enters battle, his personality shifts dramatically. In this state, he becomes aggressive, ferocious, and loud, with the whites of his eyes turning black and veins protruding on his face, making him appear truly monstrous. Despite this fearsome transformation, he retains his loyalty to his comrades and fights to protect them.
His key relationships are central to his development. His tragic love for Eliade haunts him, and reminders of her often cause him pain. He shares a strong bond with Allen Walker and Lavi, who were present at his transformation and recruitment. Lavi frequently gives him the nickname Kuro-chan, which Krory openly dislikes but has come to accept as a sign of camaraderie. He looks to these younger Exorcists for guidance in navigating a world he does not understand, and he fights fiercely to protect them.
Throughout the story, Krory develops from a suicidal recluse into a dedicated and reliable member of the Black Order. His initial motivation was simply to find a reason to live after killing Eliade, but over time, he grows to genuinely embrace his role as an Exorcist and the family he finds within the Order. He proves his courage and resolve in major battles, such as the fight against the Noah twins Jasdevi inside the Millennium Earl's Ark, where he unleashes his full power to protect his allies.
Krory’s abilities stem from his parasitic Innocence, which has no official name and is embedded in his teeth. Its strength lies in his blood. He possesses feral abilities that grant him enhanced strength, speed, and agility. His primary method of attack is biting, as he can drain an Akuma’s blood. This blood provides him with rapid regeneration and a temporary increase in power, and he compares its taste to tomato juice. Conversely, his own blood is lethally poisonous to Akuma. By injecting his blood into an Akuma through a bite, he can kill it within seconds, an ability he names Crimson because the disintegrating Akuma resembles crimson snow. However, this technique greatly weakens him. He can also manipulate his own blood to a degree, using it to fortify his hands for stronger strikes. His most powerful technique is Bloody Krory, where he drains a significant amount of his own blood to form a near-invulnerable, winged construct that fights remotely, though this leaves his physical body exposed and exhausted. A notable limitation is that while his body can break down Akuma poison, he is not completely immune and can be overwhelmed if his body is too weak to process the toxin.
