Description
Arystar Krory III is an Exorcist affiliated with the European Branch of the Black Order. A baron by birth, he spent the majority of his early life secluded within his late grandfather's castle in Romania. Due to his reclusive nature and unusual appearance, the residents of a nearby village came to fear him as a vampire. He stands at 190 centimeters tall and is a man with sharp facial features, pointed ears, and short black hair distinguished by a long white streak that falls across his face. Krory was 28 years old at the time he formally joined the Order.

Krory's personality is marked by a sharp contrast between his everyday demeanor and his state while fighting. Having led an extremely sheltered existence, he is notably naive and innocent when navigating normal social situations, often to a comical degree. He is also a very sensitive and emotional individual, prone to becoming overwhelmed and crying over seemingly small matters. However, once his Innocence activates and he consumes Akuma blood, he transforms into a violent, bloodthirsty berserker driven by feral rage and possessing incredible strength. In this state, he remains fiercely loyal to his allies and will not harm those he recognizes as friends. Over time, these two aspects of his personality begin to merge, granting him a greater degree of control while retaining his formidable combat instincts. Krory also has a soft spot for children, feeling a strong sense of adult responsibility to protect them.

The motivation for Krory's journey begins with his grandfather's dying wish that he care for their home and vast collection of artifacts. Left with no purpose and feeling like nothing more than another piece in his grandfather's collection, he prayed for proof of his own existence. His life changed when the Exorcist General Cross Marian arrived at the castle, ostensibly to return one of his grandfather's carnivorous plants named Roseanne. This plant contained a parasitic Innocence, and when it bit Krory, the Innocence integrated with his body. His original teeth fell out and were replaced by the fangs of his Innocence. Unaware of the nature of this power, he instinctively began hunting and destroying Akuma, which he and the villagers misinterpreted as vampiric attacks on humans. It was during one of these hunts that he encountered a beautiful woman named Eliade, with whom he fell deeply in love, unaware that she was a Level 2 Akuma sent to observe him. He lived with Eliade in the castle until the arrival of Exorcists Allen Walker and Lavi, who were summoned by the villagers to eliminate the vampire threat. The tragic revelation of Eliade's true nature forced Krory to destroy her, his beloved, leaving him devastated. Allen Walker gave him a new reason to live by suggesting he become an Exorcist, allowing him to honor Eliade's memory and give meaning to her death by fighting for the Black Order.

Throughout the story, Krory forges significant bonds with his fellow Exorcists. He becomes a loyal and trusted comrade to Allen Walker and Lavi, who were instrumental in revealing the truth about his nature and helping him find a new path. He is also deeply protective of Lenalee Lee and shows great respect for other members of the Order. His key relationship from his past is, of course, with Eliade, whose death remains a profound and shaping influence on his character.

Krory's development is defined by his transition from a lonely, isolated figure haunted by his grandfather's legacy and mistaken identity to a dedicated Exorcist with a clear sense of purpose. Initially, he is paralyzed by inaction and depression, confined to his castle. The trauma of killing Eliade nearly breaks him, but he chooses to channel his grief into a new mission. While he retains his sensitive and naive core, he gains confidence and a sense of belonging within the Black Order, learning to wield his terrifying powers in service of protecting others rather than as a curse.

Krory's primary ability stems from his unnamed parasitic Innocence, often informally referred to as "Teeth." This Innocence grants him several distinct powers, primarily centered on blood manipulation. He possesses enhanced speed and immense durability, capable of surviving extreme physical trauma. His strength is augmented to the point where he can bite through most Akuma armor and even halt a direct blow from Lavi's giant hammer with his fangs. He can drink the blood of Akuma, which acts as fuel for his power, though excessive consumption can break down his own body. Conversely, he can inject his own blood, which is laced with Innocence, into an Akuma, acting as a potent poison that causes them to explode. He can also fortify his body by hardening his blood, such as around his fists, to increase his striking power. Another crucial ability is his "Vaccine," which allows him to suck the blood of an ally infected with an Akuma's virus, extracting the poison. At his limit, Krory can utilize a technique called "Bloody Krory," draining the blood from his body to form a powerful, winged, and nearly invulnerable blood mannequin that he can control remotely and use to drain Akuma blood without needing to bite. Additionally, his Innocence acts as an Akuma sensor, activating when an enemy is near.
