Description
Ibuki Yagami is a high school student who becomes a major figure in the story during the period when Yusaku Godai serves as a student teacher at her all-girls school, which is the same institution that Kyoko Otonashi once attended. Initially unimpressed with Godai, she and her classmates see him as a nervous and unremarkable figure, with Ibuki even mocking another student for a fleeting crush on him. This attitude changes dramatically when she witnesses him looking through an old yearbook and yawns, producing tears that she completely misinterprets as him crying over a lost love who attended the school. From that moment, she becomes convinced that Godai is a tragically romantic figure suffering in silence, and she falls deeply in love with him.
In terms of personality, Ibuki is passionate, bold, and remarkably headstrong for her age. Unlike the more reserved Kyoko, Ibuki is brazen about her feelings and refuses to be denied, hatching increasingly devious plots to get closer to Godai and put him in compromising situations.
