Description
Keiichirō is a young man living alone after his family perished in a car accident while traveling to one of his live band performances. This tragedy caused him to abandon music entirely and withdraw from social connections, though he retains a fundamentally kind nature. His life is defined by solitude and reflection on his loss, including regular prayers for his deceased family members.

Seeking shelter from rain near a trash heap, he discovered an inactive service android resembling a young girl. Despite learning she was an obsolete model deemed beyond repair, he took her home with initial thoughts of disposal. The android unexpectedly activated overnight, displaying no memory of her past functions. Keiichirō named her Flower after the sunflower she was holding when found. Recognizing her vulnerability due to short-term memory loss, he provided her with a diary to record daily experiences.

His relationship with Flower initiated a gradual emotional reconnection. Teaching her about the world and household responsibilities inadvertently forced him to engage more actively with his surroundings. Her persistent, earnest efforts to assist him—particularly through preparing meals—chipped away at his isolation. Though initially resistant, he slowly resumed interactions with music, attempting to play guitar again at Flower’s encouragement. Her presence and eventual deterioration due to irreparable mechanical flaws catalyzed his confrontation with grief and guilt over his family’s death.

Flower’s eventual shutdown resolved his emotional stagnation. Her influence enabled him to process his trauma, culminating in his return to singing and musical expression as a form of closure and healing. His journey depicts a transition from withdrawn melancholy toward renewed purpose through caregiving and acceptance of loss.
