Description
Bob is a character from the anime Speed Grapher who serves as a friend and ally to the protagonist, Saiga. An American man whose passport was invalidated, leaving him trapped in Japan, he lives in the same building as Saiga and operates a massage parlor out of his own apartment. His background includes having served in the United States Navy.

Bob is depicted as a flamboyantly gay man with a big-hearted and caring personality. He is notably fond of Saiga and possesses a strong, almost maternal sense of care, making him a reliable and supportive figure. His nature is fundamentally good, and he consistently demonstrates a willingness to help his friend as Saiga becomes increasingly entangled in the dangerous affairs of the Roppongi Club and its leader, Suitengu.

His role in the story is primarily that of a supportive confidant and occasional helper from the sidelines. While not directly involved in the main conflicts with the super-powered Euphorics, Bob provides a safe harbor and practical assistance for Saiga, showcasing his loyalty and dependability. He also has a connection to the local community through his sister, a male-to-female transsexual named David, who runs a cabaret called Le Pub David staffed by other male-to-female transsexuals.
