Leofuoco is a Fire-attribute Yo-kai of the Brave tribe in the Yo-kai Watch anime. It appears as a large lion with a blazing mane of fire. Its personality is hot-blooded and fiercely competitive, filling those around it with fiery enthusiasm and a desire to win. This competitive nature is central to its character, as it often inspires others to challenge themselves or each other, sometimes causing humorous conflicts when it refuses to accept defeat. In the story, Leofuoco can be befriended and recruited by users of the Yo-kai Watch, and it appears in various episodes as a Yo-kai that influences human behavior by igniting their competitive spirit. It does not have a single deep personal motivation beyond this drive for competition and the thrill of battle. Its key relationships are primarily with other Yo-kai and the human protagonists, serving as both an ally and an occasional obstacle. Over the course of the series, Leofuoco can develop by evolving into Carniboy through fusion with Herbiboy, gaining new abilities and a different form. Notable abilities include its skill Blazing Spirit, which increases its strength and spirit when an ally is defeated; its Inspirit move Emblaze, which raises an ally’s strength; and its Soultimate Move Blazing Fist, which unleashes a powerful fire attack. In later appearances, it communicates only by saying the word blaze or by roaring, with its intended meaning indicated in context.
