TV-Series
Description
Mariah is a character from the original Beyblade series and its sequel, Beyblade G-Revolution. In the Japanese version she is known as Mao Chen. She is a member of the White Tigers, a team originally from China, which later becomes White Tiger X. Mariah is notable for being the first female blader to appear in the series. She is approximately thirteen years old during the main story and fourteen in Beyblade V-Force.

Mariah has a catlike appearance, characterized by long pink hair and yellow eyes. Her Beyblade is Galux, and its Bit-Beast is a lynx also named Galux. She competes as a blader with strong technical skill, using her Bit-Beast’s agility to execute attacks such as the Cat Scratch Galux.

Her background is rooted in the White Tiger village, where she grew up alongside her brother Lee and her close friend Ray. She developed deep romantic feelings for Ray, and when he left the team to join the Bladebreakers, she was deeply hurt. Her emotional turmoil over Ray’s departure is a central motivation in her early appearances. During the Asian tournament, she faces Ray in a battle that becomes an emotional catharsis, allowing her to express her feelings and rekindle the friendship they had lost.

Mariah is completely loyal to the White Tigers and often acts as a peacekeeper within the team, sometimes serving as a second-in-command. She is generally cheerful and supportive of her teammates, but she can be fierce and competitive when battling. She also has a rivalry with Emily, a blader from the PPB All-Stars, and the two do not get along.

Over the course of the series, Mariah matures as a blader and as a person. She learns to move past her heartbreak and continues to support her team in their pursuit of becoming top bladers. Her relationship with Ray remains friendly, but she no longer dwells on the loss. In Beyblade G-Revolution, she remains an active member of White Tiger X, still wielding Galux and competing at a high level.

Her notable abilities include precise control over her Beyblade, a strong connection with her Bit-Beast, and a fighting style that emphasizes speed and cat-like reflexes. She is one of only two female bladers in the first season to own a Bit-Beast, marking her as a trailblazer among female characters in the series.
