Hunk from Voltron: Defender of the Universe is a member of the Voltron Force and serves as the pilot of the Yellow Lion. His full name is Tsuyoshi Hunk Garrett. Originally part of an exploratory team sent by the Galaxy Alliance and led by Keith, Hunk was captured alongside his teammates by the forces of Planet Doom. After escaping, the group traveled to the Castle of Lions on the planet Arus, where they met Princess Allura and Coran and were officially designated as the Voltron Force.

In this version, Hunk functions as the team's mechanic and holds the rank of Tech Sergeant at the Galaxy Garrison. His signature weapon is the claw hammer. As the strong man of the group who pilots the Yellow Lion that forms Voltron's lower left leg, Hunk is physically imposing.
