Description
Kujiraoka is an adult male antagonist from the 1975 mecha series Reideen, a member of the alien Gorgon Empire that seeks to conquer Earth. He appears with short black hair, black eyes, a moustache, and typically wears a military uniform with a scarf, reflecting his rank as a high‑ranking officer within the invading force.

His personality is marked by fierce ambition and a treacherous streak. Kujiraoka is a confident, assertive leader who relies on practical, logical thinking and shows strong loyalty to those under his command, yet he is also recklessly eager to assert his own authority. This tendency makes him unpopular with both peers and superiors, as his impulsive decisions sometimes endanger the Empire’s larger objectives. He is a formidable warrior, feared on the battlefield for his exceptional hand‑to‑hand combat skills and raw physical prowess.

Motivated by a desire for power and personal recognition, Kujiraoka carries out critical missions for the Gorgon Empire, hoping to cement his standing among its ranks. His main rivalry is with fellow officer Yumihiko Saki, with whom he frequently clashes in verbal disputes. These strained relationships within the Empire, combined with his own overreaching ambition, ultimately lead to his downfall: his drive to impose his will pushes him into catastrophic mistakes, resulting in a tragic end.

As a fighter, Kujiraoka’s notable abilities include close‑quarters combat expertise and a fearless aggression that makes him a dangerous opponent. His role in the story is that of a recurring enemy who challenges both the hero and the titular giant robot, serving as a human face for the alien threat and adding internal conflict among the villains.
