Description
Park Jaegyeong, better known by her original Japanese name Koyomi Mizuhara and her nickname Yomi, is one of the central characters of the anime Azumanga Daioh. The name Park Jaegyeong comes from the Korean localisation of the series, in which her character was given a fully localized Korean name. In the story she is a high school student who is introduced at around fifteen years of age and is followed through to graduation at eighteen. She is a childhood friend of Tomo Takino, having known her since elementary school, and it is Tomo who gave her the nickname Yomi, a name that became so widely used that even other people around her call her by it. Her full given name remained a mystery in the original manga until the second volume, in which the creator dedicated an entire strip to responding to readers who had asked for it.
