Description
Milluki Zaoldyeck, also spelled Milluki Zoldyck, is the second‑eldest child of Silva and Kikyo Zaoldyeck, making him a member of the infamous Zaoldyeck family of assassins. He is depicted as an obese teenager with short black hair, squinty eyes, and glasses, and he often wears casual indoor clothing. Unlike his more physically formidable siblings, Milluki is a reclusive technology specialist who prefers to operate from within the family estate on Kukuroo Mountain.
His personality is that of a classic otaku: he spends most of his time in his room, is deeply interested in computers, video games, and anime figurines, and displays a short temper when his hobbies are interrupted. He is highly intelligent, particularly in the realm of hacking, invention, and remote surveillance, but he lacks the raw combat prowess of his brothers Illumi, Killua, and Kalluto. By his own admission, he does carry out assassinations, but he typically fulfills these contracts remotely, using his technological skills rather than engaging in direct confrontation. Among the five Zaoldyeck brothers, he is considered the physically weakest, though still stronger than an average person due to his assassin training.
Milluki’s motivations are tied to maintaining his place within the family hierarchy. He seeks approval from his parents, especially his father Silva, by contributing through his technical expertise. He is loyal to the family’s values and rarely questions its brutal methods. His sense of worth appears to come from his utility as a logistics and support asset rather than as a frontline killer. He has only left the family mansion twice in his life; the second time was to travel to Yorknew City to bid on the video game Greed Island at an auction, a trip that ended in failure and disappointment.
In the story, Milluki plays a supporting role, appearing primarily during the Zoldyck Family arc. He is present when Killua returns home and is later shown attempting to help his mother Kikyo subdue Killua as he escapes the estate. During that confrontation, Killua wounds both Milluki and Kikyo, demonstrating the gap in physical ability between the brothers. Milluki also appears briefly during the Greed Island arc, connected to the auction, and is mentioned in subsequent arcs as part of the family’s background operations.
His key relationships are defined by tension and distance. With Killua, there is a clear rivalry and lack of understanding; Milluki resents Killua’s natural talent and rebellion, while Killua regards him as lazy and out of shape. With Illumi, Milluki shows deference, acknowledging Illumi’s authority as the eldest brother. He appears to have a closer, more obedient relationship with his mother Kikyo, showing concern for her during the escape incident. His interactions with his father Silva are minimal but suggest a functional, if emotionally distant, dynamic built on fulfilling assigned roles.
Development for Milluki is minimal across the series. He does not undergo a major character arc or change in perspective. He remains a static figure, firmly rooted in his role as the family’s tech specialist and indoor recluse. His primary function is to highlight the diversity of skills within the Zaoldyeck family and to contrast with Killua’s desire for freedom and personal growth.
Notable abilities include expertise in computer hacking, remote monitoring, and the invention of custom weapons and gadgets. He is skilled enough to manage the family’s digital security and to assist in gathering intelligence. Although his Nen type is not extensively explored in the anime, supplementary material suggests he is a Manipulator, which aligns with his inclination toward controlling systems and devices from a distance. He has basic assassin training, including some combat capability, but it is insufficient to match his siblings.
