Description
Keel Lorenz serves as the enigmatic and powerful chairman of the secret organization SEELE. He is also the head of the Human Instrumentality Committee, a smaller governing body that directly oversees NERV and the Evangelion project, effectively pulling the strings of world governments from the shadows.
Visually, Keel is depicted as an elderly man with silver hair. His most distinctive feature is the extensive cybernetic replacement of his body; at some point between the Second Impact and the year 2015, most of his physical form below the neck was replaced with mechanical implants, including a large portion of his spinal column. He also wears a specialized visor, though it is known that he still retains his natural eyes. This partial transformation into a cyborg reflects his ideological rejection of natural human limitations and his desire to transcend the human condition.
