TV-Series
Description
Panpaka is a piglet boy living in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, part of the Pants family dedicated to securing the world's most sacred underwear across generations. His grandfather passed this mission down to him, defining his life's purpose. He consistently wears only white briefs, reflecting his core obsession with underwear collection.

He travels globally seeking rare and valuable pants, exploring forests, mountains, ninja hideouts, and deserts with unwavering dedication to his family's legacy. These quests frequently involve surreal comedic situations, often ending with Panpaka obtaining the desired pants but facing some disappointment. The purple cat Punyan, the family pet, is his constant companion and best friend. While Panpaka exhibits boldness and impulsiveness during adventures, Punyan provides intelligence and responsibility, often preventing peril despite occasional distraction by simple temptations like cat food.

Boark, also known as Black Panpaka, functions as his rival. Identified as a "Pants Hunter," Boark seeks valuable underwear for personal enjoyment and views Panpaka as competition, though Panpaka doesn't fully reciprocate this rivalry. Boark has an eye-patch and dark hair, and is accompanied by Croli, a clever cat who assists primarily for her own mischievous amusement.

Panpaka's family includes his grandfather, who actively supports the pants-finding mission; his grandmother, typically portrayed as a quiet tea-drinker with a revealed past as club DJ named DJ Pants; and his parents, whose involvement in the quest appears less direct. A significant event occurred during a family vacation depicted in the film *Treasure of the Bananan Kingdom*, where separation stranded Panpaka and Punyan in the Bananan Kingdom. Mistaken as the "Legendary Pants Hero," Panpaka was tasked with retrieving sacred pants to help liberate the kingdom from an Alligator King who stole its bananas. This adventure saw him ally with new companions: Wanpoko the Dog, Orson the Crane, and Terry the Monkey.

His personality remains enthusiastic, adventurous, and singularly focused on pants across appearances. He occasionally faces situations involving nudity for comedic effect, such as losing his underwear. His origins trace back to early one-minute shorts where he evolved from a character named Taisuke, becoming the sole protagonist in subsequent media including television series and the film, without significant alteration to his core traits or background.
