Description
Pixy, more commonly spelled Pixie and later known as Granity, is a character in the Monster Rancher anime who begins as one of Moo's Big Bad Four, the elite enforcers serving the series' primary villain. She ranks last among that group. In her early appearances she is an antagonist with a personal vendetta against humans, and she takes delight in capturing towns and turning their inhabitants into slaves. Her allegiance changes when the main character Genki opens her eyes to the truth of Moo's evil, after which she abandons her former master and becomes a steadfast ally to Genki and his companions.
In terms of background, she is based on the pure-bred Pixie monster type from the Monster Rancher games, a breed described as red fairies with horns, leathery wings, and a long, whip-like tail. In the anime she appears as a slim young woman who seems to be in her early twenties, with red hair, a pair of leathery wings, two silver horns jutting from her head, and a tail ending in a small spike. Her usual clothing is a reddish-pink outfit similar to a bikini.
Her personality is typically described as ranging from quiet and shrewd to level-headed and mature. Like the Pixie breed in general, which is known for being disobedient, somewhat selfish, and haughty while also carrying an aura of mystery, she can be difficult and independent. After turning away from Moo, she becomes more measured and dependable, though she retains a fierce and formidable presence.
