TV-Series
Description
Conan Blassy is the name used for the protagonist in certain localizations, particularly the Latin American Spanish dub, of the series where the character is originally known as Conan Edogawa. His true identity is a famous high school detective named Bobby Jackson, a bright and athletic seventeen-year-old, who is transformed into a child after an encounter with a mysterious criminal organization. His original name is Shinichi Kudo in the Japanese version.

In his original life as Bobby Jackson, he was already renowned for solving complex criminal cases, including one where he deduced that a home’s owner had faked a leg injury to commit murder. He was also a skilled soccer player, known for his powerful shots. After being forced to take an experimental poison by two men in black, he did not die but instead reverted to the physical appearance of a young elementary school child. To protect his identity and find a way to return to normal, he adopts the name Conan Blassy, inspired by the mystery writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The only person who knows his secret is his inventor neighbor, Professor Carrillo, who creates various gadgets to assist him.

As Conan Blassy, his personality remains sharp, observant, and deeply dedicated to justice. He has a strong passion for mystery novels and an exceptional talent for deduction, often seeing the truth behind crimes that elude the official police. One of his key relationships is with Claudia, his best friend and the captain of her school's karate team, for whom he has romantic feelings but has never confessed. Recognizing that the criminals who poisoned him are still at large, he keeps his true identity a secret from her for her own safety, which is a constant source of inner conflict.

His role in the story centers on using his intellect to solve ongoing mysteries while living undercover. To operate effectively as a child, he uses inventions from Professor Carrillo, such as a voice-changing bow tie that allows him to impersonate others. He frequently uses a dart watch to put Claudia's father, a detective, to sleep and then uses the bow tie to solve the case in the man's voice, letting the father take public credit for the deduction. This arrangement allows Conan to remain hidden while still using his detective skills to pursue the organization that shrunk him. While his abilities are formidable, he is known to have a notable weakness: a lack of singing talent. He also forms friendships with other children in his neighborhood and at school.
