Description
Reese Drake, older sister to Zoe and daughter of veterinarians running an animal hospital, serves as Dr. Spike Taylor's assistant at the D-Lab and possesses a pilot's license. Her distinctive appearance features long blonde hair, purple eyes, and nearly constant square-framed glasses, a green top, brown miniskirt, white lab coat, and dark red high heels; the glasses are so integral to her look that she becomes unrecognizable without them.
Intellectually gifted, she designed and built the Dino Holders in a single episode and later created the DinoShot device for dinosaur card activation in the DS game. Her personality is predominantly calm, subtle, and emotionally reserved, often speaking in a monotone, though she displays flashes of intensity when questioned or annoyed and is capable of holding grudges. Despite this usual composure, she possesses unexpected physical strength, demonstrated when easily restraining Dr. Taylor.
Throughout the first season, she assists the D-Team with equipment maintenance and logistical support. Her family home and veterinary clinic are temporarily transported to Zeta Point during a dinosaur flu outbreak, where her father treats infected dinosaurs. In the second season, *Mesozoic Meltdown*, she remains at the D-Lab with Rod and Laura but is later captured by the Spectral Space Pirates alongside other parents. During captivity, she participated in an escape attempt, exploiting the dinosaurs' fear of her father's oversized syringe to distract guards. After recapture, she contributed a family recipe to sustain morale before ultimately being rescued.
She has a fondness for cake, and as of episode 2 in the Japanese dub, no romantic relationships are noted. Her name localizations include "Liz" in Taiwanese media and "Riasu Tatsuno" in Japanese, with "Drake" chosen as an English equivalent referencing dragons, aligning with the "tatsu" (dragon) kanji in her Japanese surname.
