Description
Noratty, known as Zander in English adaptations, serves as a member of the Alpha Trio within the Alpha Gang. His childhood unfolded in an orphanage alongside Ursula and Ed before Dr. Z adopted them, integrating the trio into the gang as foster children and establishing a familial bond.

Tall and lanky with pale skin, he sports short black hair featuring two curved ahoge strands and brown eyes typically concealed behind round sunglasses. His standard outfit includes a dark brown trench coat over a red shirt, black pants with attached shoes, and those signature sunglasses.

Personality-wise, he projects intellectual sophistication as the trio's primary strategist, though his plans often collapse due to flaws or unexpected complications. He exhibits nervousness and cowardice in perilous situations. A recurring comedic thread involves his financial liability for the gang's invariably destroyed equipment and vehicles, punctuated by his lament—"But that was on my card!"—when items break.

His main dinosaur partner is Spinosaurus, summoned with "Gush out, Spinosaurus!", though he occasionally deploys Tank (Saichania) or Terry (Tyrannosaurus Rex). A romantic subplot emerges when Reese Drake aids him in a desert; he dubs her "his angel," composes songs for her, and offers her a flower during the finale.

Throughout season one, he participates in the Alpha Gang's dinosaur card pursuits, consistently thwarted by the D-Team. His role wanes after Rod and Laura's rise but resurges in the climax when the gang allies with the D-Team against Seth. Ejected from the Alpha Jet for weight issues, the trio later aids Dr. Z's rescue.

In season two, the Alpha Gang reluctantly partners with the D-Team against the Spectral Space Pirates. Though often sidelined in comedic subplots during the Cosmos Stones quest, he joins historical adventures:
- Captured in Ancient Rome, they fight as gladiators using Terry before escaping with D-Team help.
- Adopting pirate personas in the Caribbean for comic relief.
- Disguised as Sanzo Hoshi’s disciple "Sandy" in Ancient China, seeking eternal youth.
- Aiding the Teen Musketeers in Renaissance Paris, bonding over shared orphan experiences and helping rescue them from Chancellor Richelieu. Here, he emotionally reveals his past. His Spinosaurus later combines Ultimate Moves with Max and Rex's dinosaurs to defeat Gabbro's Gigas. In the final battle, Spinosaurus blocks an attack aimed at Terry but falls to Armatus's Spectral Stinger.

The Nintendo DS game emphasizes his scientific aptitude, depicting him engineering a sleeping sickness and primarily using Fire-element dinosaurs like Torvosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, and Alpha Acrocanthosaurus, plus occasional Styracosaurus.

Card game mechanics tie him to Spinosaurus: players require his character card to include "Spiny" in decks, utilizing abilities to search, draw, or rearrange Spinosaurus or Move Cards.

Trivia notes list his age as 30 in season two (earlier age unspecified). His name "Noratty" reverses part of "Tyrannosaurus" in Japanese katakana, nodding to early arcade-game Fire Dinosaur associations—downplayed in the anime. Taiwanese and DS game portrayals reinforce his chemistry background.
